This two-part series follows the first six months in the lives of four special litters of puppies, including chihuahuas and future sheepdogs. The first programme covers the first three months of the puppies’ lives, including the magic of birth and the early weeks of fun and frolics as the pups learn to walk and play. The newborn chihuahuas are tiny, weighing around 100 grams each. The collie pups are future working sheepdogs and the assistance puppies, who will one day transform the lives of disabled people, are also special. In Essex, five rescue pups are in need of a home. Vet Mark Evans reveals their remarkable rate of development.
